The Guardian

"British arms companies are supplying key parts for Israel's Apache combat helicopters, F-15 and F-16 fighter jets deployed in southern Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank despite government guidelines banning the sale of weapons likely to be used "aggressively against another country" or fuel regional tensions..."

Sweetheart, if the U.S wanted to really fight and not give a crap about civilans, the hole middle east would be defeated in a matter of weeks, I served in the 82nd airbore United States army 1995-1999 and trust me when I say we are only using a very, very, very, limited supply of our weapons in Iraq just as Israel is in Lebanon. Belive it or not I along with most of America want freedom all over the middle east but I am beging to wonder if you people are willing to fight for your freedom because we can defeat any goverment but then the people of that country needs to stand and fight for the freedom they want. Remember our freedom was not free and nor will yours be free when you confront hezbollah after Israel leaves!

How can someone be proud of his killing capacities? your state just killed 22 children in Qana, now. A total of 55 people in one shot. they were hiding in a shelter. I hope you will never get peace.

"if the U.S wanted to really fight"?
I thought Israel was fighting, but I guess your slip of the tongue just goes to show that in this campaign the US and Israel are only extensions of one another, and that explains all the cover-ups,and protection that the US keeps giving Israel leaving it free to carry out crimes against humanity, and the vetoes it drops against any UN resolution that tries to stop Israel's illegal, unhuman, and terrorist (yeah, check the definition, and juxtapose it to the facts) behaviour.
I guess it's people like you who got Bush re-elected.
You know, terrorism isn't your biggest enemy, your ignorance is.

I find it hard to understand the comments of this person from America and his/ her very mixed up view point.
Firstly you sound pro the Iraq war and the Israeli conflict over Lebanon, but then in a second breath you question the election of George W Bush who is arguably to father of the questionable 'war on terror' and more alarmingly the only barrier, along with puppet Blair, who is standing in-front of the UN and their request for a cease fire.
I appreciate that the US may be the worlds number one military super power following the end of the Cold War and that it has the tools to destroy all of the planet if it had the wish to do so, but that doesn't make it right and it doesn't make what it is doing to the world the right and humanitarian thing to do.
As for your reference to the American war of Independence and the fact that America wasn't free until it won its freedom I think you should get a life! The world was a very different place back in the late 1700's. We were not lucky enough to have the likes of the United Nations back then and I think it is better to keep life rather than throwing it away in conflicts that could be resolved diplomatically. Also who is winning freedom from whom? Israel and Lebanon are free entities and if you think that Lebanon should take its freedom from Hezbollah then you are short sighted – look at the Irish/ British IRA conflict, another one your country financed through the back door. That started in circa 1920 and saw nearly 85 years of bloodshed. They couldn’t be stopped or halted and entire army detachments tried and died along with many innocent people. In the end it ended diplomatically. Talking can save lives! Weapons only end life.
Finally, let’s look at the root cause of the current problems, namely Israel. If it wasn't for the actions of the British (my nationality) and the Americans when they decided to create Israel then many of the Middle East's issues that have developed over the last 60+ years might not have happened. Don't you thing we owe it to this part of the world to help resolve problems and stop killing innocent people?
Sure you have a lot of military power, but you also have a lot of diplomatic might which seems to be under utilised. Why do you always feel the need to 'take up arms' when there are so many other ways to approach the worlds issues.
Turn off the news from CNN and Fox that is brain washing your nation and tune into some impartial comment from other broadcasters and make some decisions based on what is happening and think about the lives of the innocent.
Ignorance is a dangerous weapon; don’t let more people die because of it!

Hey anonynous Zionoid coward, shoo! get sway from this forum. We know you have been activated by the IDF for precisely this sort of garbage delivery that you are so sincerely engaged in. Terrorism with a capital T is being raised to new heights by the Israeli war machine.

You must be one of those kids who cheered when the biggest kid in school beat up the smallest kid, stomped on his face and spat into his lunchbox. In fact you probably held that little kid down while your big bully friend and you laughed at your victim's misery.

For you, there is only one hope: see a shrink immediately, you are sick. Now bug off and let adults take care of serious work, like attending to the lives torn apart and rendered miserable by your million dollar bombs and your small change lies that you seem to churn out and repeat with the nauseating effort of a constipated hippo. Shoo little Zionoid twerp!
